Please introduce the team members including the courses that you are currently studying?
Sebastian and Paul are doing BSc Computer Science, James, who is doing an MSc Computer Science and Qais, who is doing MSc Cyber Security.
Are any of you currently considering cybersecurity as a career? If so, what area?
James is thinking about a career in "network + infrastructure pentesting", Sebastian is interested in a career but has no idea about what branch and Paul is thinking about doing something related to cryptography.
What CTFs have you competed in before?
We are the UoB noobs, no experience whatsoever.
What are you looking forward to most at Inter-ACE?
We are all looking forward to tackling some difficult problems and hopefully learning new things.
How do you think more people could be attracted to a career in cybersecurity?
Our team members' views are quite different but they boil down to 3 ideas: young people need to be taught practical security skills, the whole "hacker" career needs to be demystified and made more accessible and they need to be shown the amount of money they can make by working in cybersecurity.
